Welcome!

Welcome to the First Congregational UCC in Crete, Nebraska. We are very happy that you have joined us. We strive to recognize and nurture the Christ in ourselves and each person that we encounter along the way. Our congregation has a long tradition in the community of Crete, and values our historic ties to Doane College.

Our church, founded in 1871, has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community. We hope you will join us for service on Sunday to experience for yourself the fellowship of Christ.  With the return of Pastor Hagaman from his sabbatical time this summer, we will begin exploring the theology of time, and how we can tend to the time we've been given in a faithful manner.

Beginning August 22, we will return to our fall hours, and will have a new worship opportunity in addition to our current "regular" services at 9:30 and 10:30.  Join us for "11:33 4 22" (Service at 11:33 for 22 minutes, give or take a few). 

 Meet Pastor HagamanOur Minister, Pastor Jeffrey E. Hagaman has served our community since 2003.  This year, Pastor Hagaman and our congregation were awarded a Lilly Grant for Clergy Reewal, which funded a 3 month sabbatical period, as well as a number of special events that will occur through the fall.  See more about him and the rest of our staff on the Meet our Minister page in the About Us section.
