The congregation welcomes 6 young men and women into church membership on Sunday as they confirm their faith.  Please be sure to join in this celebration of their journey of faith.  Below, the class poses before their last regular meeting with Pastor Jeff prior to being confirmed this coming Sunday.

Welcome to the First Congregational UCC in Crete, Nebraska. We are very happy that you have decided to check us out.

 

We strive to be a Christ-centered congregation as we attempt to show the love of Christ to each person that we encounter along the path of life.

 

Our congregation has a long tradition in the community of Crete, and values our historic ties to Doane College.

 

Our church, founded in 1871, has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community. We hope you will join us for service on Sunday to experience for yourself the fellowship of Christ.  With the return of Pastor Hagaman from his sabbatical time this summer, we will begin exploring the theology of time, and how we can tend to the time we've been given in a faithful manner.

 

Beginning September 5, we will have our full fall hours schedule, and will have a new worship opportunities (in addition to our current "regular" services at 9:30 and 10:30).  Join us for an 8:30 a.m. prayer service, and/or our "11:33 4 22" (Service at 11:33 for 22 minutes, give or take a few). Whether you come at 8:30 or 11:33; whether you leave after one service, or stay for the whole morning, know that you are welcomed, and invited to share in time with us.

 Recently at 1st CongregationalJonathan Rundman led us in worship on August 29, and entertained a nice sized group in concert on Saturday the 28th.  Below is just one photo from his visit with us:
