Backpack Program

Our church sponsors the Crete BackPack Program which helps feed hungry families in the Crete area. During the 2011-2012 school year, the program will distribute 89 backpacks each week to qualifying students at Crete Elementary, St. James Elementary, and Crete Middle School. Each backpack is filled with enough food to feed these students and their families over the weekend. The food is bought from the Lincoln Food Bank and packed by volunteers from several local churches and from Doane College. The yearly cost of each backpack is $200.00, and all funds are raised locally. If you would like to donate time or money to this program, contact the church office.

 

 

Fun Run Fundraiser!
