For 11 days in early November, the entire United Church of Christ will make good on its "that they may all be one" motto with a coordinated mission campaign to gather more than one million food and household items for local food banks and marshal its 5,300 congregations to advocate collectively for hunger-related causes, both domestically and around the world. Crete Mission: 1
- Thanksgiving meal—we hope to have 111 people attend a Thanksgiving day meal at the church. Arrangements are made. All we need now is people to share the meal. If you or someone you know would be alone or need a meal, contact the church office. We will be issuing tickets, so that we know how many meals to prepare. We will also ask for a donation be made to cover expenses for the meal. We served 87!
- Donate food. Our goal is to gather 111 pounds of food for our local food pantry Be on the lookout for a visual aid in the ARC that will help us keep track of our progress.
We collected 141 items!
- Raise $ for Neighbors in Need, a special mission offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. This expands our efforts outside of Crete. We collected $1,138!
